Founded in September 1978, Buddhist Sum Heung Lam Memorial College is the seventh secondary school run by the Hong Kong Buddhist Association. Implementing the wish of the late Sum Heung Lam, devotee Mrs Sum Ma Shui Ying and her heirs allocated HK$1 million from the Sum Heung Lam Foundation to fund the preliminary cost for establishing the school. To mark this great benefaction, the Hong Kong Buddhist Association named the college Buddhist Sum Heung Lam Memorial School as a permanent token of gratitude.

Mission
