School Introduction
40th Anniversary (1969 - 2009) Buddhist Chi King Primary School was founded
in 1969. It was formerly situated at Lower Ngau Tau Kok Estate. Due to the
redevelopment of the district, we had been offered a new school site on Kai
Lai Road, Kowloon Bay, in 2002.

School Life: Double lessons
for the subjects of Chinese, English and Mathematics; Reading Time, Variety
Shows at Pudding Time, and Morning Exercise.

Learning & Teaching: Working
with tertiary institutions and professional organizations to implement the
school-based curriculum that cater to our studentsˇ¦ learning needs and interest
in various subjects, also joined "CECES-English Language Learning in Hong
Kong Primary Schools Programme". Putonghua is used as a medium of instruction
on Chinese Language Teaching in order to enable students to be biliterate
(in Chinese and English) and trilingual (in Cantonese, Putonghua and English).

Values Education, Life-wide Learning: We offered a balanced and diversified
curriculum to promote students' whole-person development and life-long learning
and to develop their learning-to-learn capabilities, and to nurture their
creativity, critical thinking, communication skills as well as positive
values and attitudes.

School Ethos: A number of awards
and scholarships are offered to encourage students for their good discipline
and behaviour.

Home-school Cooperation: Through
the PTA, parents participate in voluntary work contributing to student learning.
Some even join co-teaching work in the life-wide learning activities.
