Brief History
To express our sincere thanks to Mr. Foo Bor for his invaluable contribution to the centre, and for his kind donation, our centre was officially named Buddhist Foo Wong Hop Social Centre For The Elderly in August 1994.
The centre participates in the re-engineering exercise introduced by the Social Welfare Department. The centre was upgraded as a Neighborhood Elderly Centre on 1 April 2003. Adopting an integrative approach, we provide a wide range of services to actively promote world peace and social welfare by extending Buddha's compassion and equality to all people. Besides preaching Buddhist teachings, we also sponsor various social services to meet the diverse needs of the elderly.
